Viewing infrared wavelengths between 0.4-1.5microns, the converted image produced by the new 7215 is now brighter and offers edge to edge sharpness.
Infrared Imaging at Telecomms Wavelengths
The widely used Electrophysics 7290A Micronviewer Infrared camera has now been enhanced with increased sensitivity at both 1310nm and 1550nm.
A high speed gain-switched laser source, the GSL is offered with a fixed preselected wavelength from 375 to 1600nm.
Pulse repetition frequency (PRF) and pulsewidth can be fixed in the following ranges; 1Hz to 10MHz PRF with100ps to 100ns pulsewidth, and 10MHz to 13GHz PRF with 12 to 100ps pulsewidth.
Peak output power is from 25mW to 1kW depending on the diode type used.
The second product is an ultrawide wavelength-tunable femtosecond fibre laser source.
The FPL-W3 generates transform limited pulses anywhere within the 1600 to 1900nm tunable wavelength range.
The instrument provides a stable output of up to 10mW average power in a 200fs pulse at a fixed repetition rate selected from 10 to 50MHz.
The Calmar UBS is an ultra broadband light source providing more than 700nm optical bandwidth from 1200 to 1900nm.
It uses femtosecond fibre laser technology coupled with a super continuum concept.
The UBS has excellent spectral uniformity (less than 10dB variation over the whole wavelength range), and a fixed pulse repetition frequency in the range 10 to 50MHz with a stable output of 50mW.
All three of Calmar's new products will find applications in CWDM, DWDM and CATV component and system testing, optical metrology, spectroscopy, optical coherence tomography and medicine.
