Spica Technology Corp has adopted the Prosilica CV640 FireWire camera for use with Spica's DMAS6 3D motion analysis system and for 6 DOF real-time head tracking and situational awareness applications.

Spica Technology provides high-performance, easy-to-use digital imaging software products applied to motion analysis applications for OEM, military, scientific and educational markets.

Mikael Brommels of Spica Technology Corp said of Prosilica's products: "Fantastic, very nice, and what a superb implementation of the SDKs you guys have done - one of the best we have seen, and we have worked with most of them".

Prosilica also recently announced its new EC-Series cameras.

Because of their small size, very rugged design, low-power requirements, lightweight, and high performance, Prosilica's new EC-Series digital cameras find numerous military applications.

Prosilica's CV1280F and CV640F cameras with direct fibre output (IEEE1394b) have also been adapted for military applications because of their extremely long cable length - up to 0.5km.

Prosilica products will be on display on the Lambda Photometrics stand (B46) at IPOT 2005 at the UK NEC in Birmingham on 16th and 17th February.
