The new 50-page piezoceramic actuators and custom subassemblies catalogue from PI Ceramic is now available from Lambda Photometrics.
In addition to the hundreds of precision actuators and components, both standard and customised are described, the catalogue is an essential reference book on piezos and their applications.
A tutorial on piezo technology is included and uses in "high-tech" fields from semiconductor production and test to aerospace engineering are discussed.
The product groups featured in the catalogue include low voltage devices, mini-actuators, high force actuators with up to 10kN capabilities, bender actuators and scanner tube actuators.
Many application areas which use the subnanometre precision and submillisecond response of PI's products are described.
These include data storage, photonics alignment and packaging, biotechnology and life sciences, microdispensing, optics, lasers, interferometry, scanning microscopy, precision machining and semiconductor metrology and test.
