Laser profilers handle a range of beam
sizes

We are pleased to announce the arrival of the Gentec-EO Beamage family of compact, portable CCD/CMOS laser beam profilers.

Lamda Photometrics has released the Gentec-EO Beamage family of compact, portable CCD/CMOS laser beam profilers The Beamage units USB2.0-powered with a 3m cable and has a 4Mbyte image buffer and on-board microprocessor

It is 29mm thick including the ND-filter, and can fit into tight beam trains.

Available versions include the 14bit high-resolution CCD version with either a half-inch (CCD) or two-thirds of an inch (CCD23) chip and the 10bit high speed-CMOS version optimised for pulsed lasers (Speed).

The Beamage-UCD12 with a 6.3 x 4.8mm image area has 4.65um square pixels and is suitable for measuring beams of ofer 45um.

The Beamage-UCD23 has a larger 8.8 x 6.6mm image area and is more suitable for larger beams.

The Beamage-Speed with 6.5 x 4.9mm image area enables single pulse capture to 20kHz.

It is possible to fit a fibre-optic taper to all the above sensors for profiling even larger beams.

The Focus I version has a 14.4 x 10.8mm 1.6:1 taper and the Focus II has a 20 x 15mm 2.27:1 taper fitted to the sensor.

The option to profile the largest beams comes at the expense of the camera resolution.

Software features include beam wander and logging, gaussian and top hat fits, logarithmic profile, auto-inclusion region, relative power and fluence measurements and it is possible to capture pulsed lasers using either the auto or external trigger modes and a 20,000:1 electronic auto-shutter.

It is also possible to add the M measurement capability to your Gentec-EO Beamage. Request a free brochure from Lambda Photometrics ...
