The theme of the new release is enhanced integration and collaboration, with a host of new features adding increased power, functionality and ease of use.
Witness is well established as the number one world-wide in simulation software, within both manufacturing and the fast-growing services sector.
Business process re-engineering, particularly for e-business change, greatly extends the potential for simulation to support business transformation.
Major new benefits of Witness 2000 include the speed to model build and the capability of integrating, and direct access to and from, relevant and more powerful data sources including CAD, spreadsheets and the web.
These features enable more accurate model building and reduction in risk of data error.
Witness 2000 is also the first-ever simulation tool with the capability to import e-mails.
Ease of use has been greatly improved for the non-simulationist, with more powerful and intuitive windows and graphical representations.
Lanner Group says that Witness 2000 incorporates many of the enhancements and specific features that customers have asked for.
Witness 2000 not only provides increased enabling technology for integration but continued ease of use features and new wizards.
