Cable gland range makes cable mounting up to 70% faster and will be of interest to those installing cables in switch cabinets, automation systems and plant construction.

Leading cable solutions provider Lapp has made a significant addition to its industry leading Skintop range of cable glands.

Called Skintop Click, the new cable gland range makes cable mounting up to 70% faster and will be of interest to those installing cables in a wide variety of applications including switch cabinets, automation systems and plant construction.

Key advantage of Skintop Click is the ease and speed of installation, achieved without a mounting tool or additional clamping ring.

According to Lapp's Matt Ansell, to fix the gland it is simply pushed through the hole, clicked in and rotated.

It is then centred, strain relieved to EN50262 and hermetically sealed to the highest protection class IP68.

"Skintop Click is certainly the most innovative cable entry system on the market today".

"It can be securely fixed in seconds, providing real cost-saving benefits for our customers whilst offering the renowned reliability of the Skintop range", says Ansell.

"This includes built-in protection against vibration, so making it particularly suited for use in electric motors", he concludes.

Skintop Click can be easily mounted in any position without the need for a special mounting tool or additional clamping ring.

Skintop Click also has fewer parts for simpler installation, and delivers reliable sealing of even small cable diameters.

The new range also includes the Skintop Click-R, with a reducing seal insert for tightening of small clamping ranges.

Both versions have a static temperature range of -40 to +100C and dynamic range from -20 to +80C, and are available in 16, 20 and 25mm sises to suit different applications.
