Lapp's Skintop ST-HF-M easy to assemble cable gland is extremely flame retardant, self extinguishing and offers permanent vibration protection.

Lapp has released its Olflex 130H control cable family and its Skintop ST-HF-M cable gland range.

Both are low-cost, totally halogen-free products designed to be used together in a variety of applications where human and animal life as well as valuable property are potentially exposed to a high risk of fire hazards.

These include public facilities, airports, train stations and hospitals.

"This new cable and gland combination offers the ideal solution for applications where the need for flame retardant, smoke free products are specified" according to Matt Ansell, Marketing Manager for Lapp Group UK.

"These requirements are now commonly found in public buildings, hospitals and schools".

The new environmentally friendly cable meets IEC 60332-3 and is suitable for both fixed installation under medium mechanical load conditions and for certain applications where flexing is required.

The Olflex 130H cable family can be supplied in a very wide range of core numbers and sizes.

The new Skintop ST-HF-M is a highly reliable metric cable gland that makes use of the established Skintop system to provide a fast and secure solution.

Meeting EN 50262, the new gland is extremely flame retardant, is self extinguishing and offers permanent vibration protection.
