Lapp's website contains an online version of its 2007 1000-plus page "Connecting the World" product catalogue.
Lapp has remodelled its website to provide existing and potential customers with easy access to information about its product ranges.
Lapp has solutions for almost every application, from mechanical engineering, automation, and robotics, to building services and data transmission.
Cables and connectors for roof to cellar installations in renewable energy applications are new additions as well as medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV) cables as part of its comprehensive cable collection.
The site contains an online version of Lapp's recently published 2007 1000-plus page "Connecting the World" product catalogue which provides comprehensive details of more than 40,000 Lapp products including full technical data, applications information and ordering criteria.
To make it easy for customers to accurately specify the right product for their application Lapp has, for the first time online, introduced a cable finding facility called Cablefinder.
Here, those who require specific cable products can search using a wide range of criteria including generic cable type.
At each stage of criteria selection, the search is refined and, once the selection is complete, customers are left only with cables that exactly match the desired application.
"It is the simplest way to choose a cable", says Lapp's Product Marketing Manager Matt Ansell.
"It can take quite a while to identify one of 40,000 items from our 1000 page catalogue but, using Cablefinder, users need just a few keystrokes to identify each of our cable products that meet the users exact needs".
"Once selected, customers are able to download the relevant datasheet".
