Laser Lines has completed its first UK installation of an Optec Promaster laser system at Laser Micromachining of St Asaph, North Wales.
The Promaster is a compact excimer laser system with short UV wavelength and nanosecond pulse duration to ensure accurate micromachining down to the micrometre scale with minimum kerf and thermal effects.

These systems are typically used to create ultra-small features (holes, slots and channels) in a wide range of polymers, thin metallic and oxide films.
Laser Micromachining (LML) is a company focused on helping industry exploit novel uses of lasers for product development and manufacturing.
It provides flexible, responsive services and allows customers to access the latest laser micromachining processes to gain a competitive advantage in emerging micro and nanotechnology sectors.
'The addition of the Promaster to our existing suite of seven other micromachining laser systems will enhance the capability we can offer our customers and provide LML with a wider range of precision laser manufacturing solutions,' said Nadeem Rizvi, LML's managing director.
'The Promaster system is easy to use, highly flexible and very reliable.
'It has already proven itself for the production of micro-parts for our industrial clients,' he added.
