Now on CD - the Latchways RIBA approved CPD presentation and specification guide.

The Latchways specification guide for cable based fall arrest systems, accredited by the RIBA CPD programme, is now available on CD The CD aims to give an insight into the different options available in meeting legislative obligations, in particular providing a guide to specifying a fall arrest system

It also allows RIBA qualified architects to complete an interactive CPD presentation, submit a questionnaire and receive a CPD certificate.

Latchways has been providing CPD seminars to Architects and Civil Engineers on Fall Arrest since 1998.

Previously this has been in the form of personal presentations at the architects' offices.

The seminar is now available on CD for completion in architects' own time and can also be presented to colleagues in house.

However personal CPD seminars are still available if required.

"The Latchways presentation provides architects with an understanding of the principles of load control.

This will ensure the provision of a safety solution that protects the specified number of people who will be working on the site during its construction and subsequent maintenance," says Tony Workman, Business Development Director at Latchways.

The RIBA CPD Providers Network enables the technical knowledge of companies such as Latchways to be shared with a wider audience.

It also provides a forum for future collaboration between manufacturer, installer and architect.

Latchways systems provide worker safety at height on all types of buildings and structures all over the world - for example the London Eye and St Paul's Cathedral in the UK, Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Wanderers Cricket Stadium in South Africa.
