Cast steel valves satisfy the PED
For more than 70 years, Lazaro Ituarte has been renowned for the manufacture of special engineered valves for the petrochemical, power, onshore and offshore sectors, among others.
The equipment will be supplied to the subsidiary Kvaerner Process Systems before the ship is installed at the Roncador field in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil.
Petrobras is the operator on the field and the total contract value for the Roncador project is approximately US $25 million.
The types of valves for this project range from ANSI Class 150 to 300 in super duplex material and stainless steel CF8M.
The capacity and flexibility of Lazaro Ituarte were key to fulfilling the schedules and requirements of the project.
The FPSO will have capacity for 180,000 barrels of oil per day, 6km3 of gas per day and 39,000m3 of water injection per day.
Production will come from 13 wells and eight water injectors all connected through flexible risers via an external portside balcony with export sent through a 10in flexible riser connected to the portside.
Additionally the unit will be moored in 4300ft of water using Petrobras DICAS stread mooring system with 32km composed of chain/polyester/chain segments.
