Power supplies deliver high power density
TDK-Lambda has announced the EFE Series of embedded front-end power supplies designed to deliver high power density, high efficiency and enhanced reliability.
Rail-mounted supplies power up control panels
Lambda has boosted its range of compact single-output DIN-rail-mount AC/DC power supplies with the launch of its DPP series.
The third addition, the 24V 'K' module, is aimed at designs at the more cost-sensitive end of the spectrum.
The L module occupies a single slot within the Alpha chassis.
With an output current of 25A it delivers 50A of power.
The larger Alpha T module, meanwhile, requires two chassis slots, has a 60A output current and delivers 120W of power.
Both modules' preset output voltage is adjustable over a 1.8 to 2.7V range.
Remote sense is 0.5V.
Over-voltage protection is provided in the range 3.7 to 4.1V.
Output ripple at 200kHz is 50mV while output noise is 100mV.
The L and T modules have 25mV line regulation and 50mV load regulation, with sense connected.
The cost-effective single-slot K module has a preset output voltage of 24V, adjustable over a wide 18 to 28V range.
With an output current of 15A, the module delivers 360W of power.
Other features include remote sense of 1V, 1% output ripple at 200kHz and line and load regulation of less than 0.5%.
Over voltage protection is provided as standard.
Alpha is now available in three power levels: 400, 600 and 1000W with up to 14 outputs.
Alpha's inherently flexible modular design means that for those customers whose voltage requirements lie beyond that of standard units, Lambda is able to provide a carefully matched solution that is easy to specify, easy to fit, easy to buy. Request a free brochure from TDK-Lambda UK ...
