EMS with embedded ieee - the ideal solution for intricate test and measurement tasks?

Complete with embedded IEEE/RS232 interface, Lambda's latest addition to its rack-mounted range of high performance high power switched mode power supplies is a compact 1U-packaged 1000W unit that is ideal for test and measurement applications which require higher power density and flexible programming functionality Comments Martin Southam, Lambda UK's sales director: "The new 1kW EMS is the first of a new range of power supplies with embedded IEEE

It gives users a highly accurate constant voltage, constant current source and, equipped with both analogue and digital programming functionality, meets the power needs of test and measurement systems requiring more flexible programming options.

Labview and VB drivers are available and the supply's built-in IEEE interface accepts 488.2 (SCPI) commands." UL and CE marked, the new IU unit is packed with features.

Remote voltage and current programming is user selectable over a 0 to 5V or 0 to 10V range.

Ten-turn voltage and current front panel potentiometers are standard.

The switch mode supply has a 230V AC single phase input with softstart AC inrush.

A number of variants is available with DC output ratings ranging from 0-7.5V, 0-130A to 0-600V, 0-1.6A.

It can be operated in series or parallel and its isolated outputs have 0.1% regulation and 0.05% stability.

The 1kW supply has a range of protection features built-in including overvoltage (up to 300V DC outputs), overtemperature and overcurrent.

Output terminal covers are fitted as standard.

The supply's 19-inch rack mountable chassis is 44mm high and 430mm deep and is designed for 'zero stacking' in the mounting rack. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
