Front-end supplies pack more in to the
rack

The powerful new TL Series of rack-mounted AC/DC front-end power supplies allows Lambda to offer its customers five 1500W modules housed in a single 2U 19in rack.

The introduction of the powerful new TL Series of rack-mounted AC/DC front-end power supplies, means that for the first time Lambda is able to offer its customers five 1500W modules housed in a single 2U 19in rack This results in the user being able to call on 7500W of power while at the same time making a significant saving in valuable rack space

The TL Series is ideal for a range distributed power architecture applications using nominal 24 and 48V buses such as mobile telecomms booster stations and large computer systems, as well as factory automation.

Among the key benefits delivered by the new 19 and 21in rack units are high power density, hot swap capability and typical efficiencies as high as 92%.

A range of modules, covering 500, 1000 and 1500W, all with a choice of either 24V DC nominal or 48V DC nominal output voltages, allows the user to tailor the new power supply to their exact requirements.

Modules can of course be bought independently from the rack.

Built-in ORing diodes together with active current share capability make the new supplies ideal for N+1 redundant applications.

A full array of signals comprising convertor OK, AC present, overtemperature alarms and active low on fail provide the TL Series with easy and comprehensive monitoring.

Remote on/off is standard, as is current limit, short circuit protection, overvoltage protection and AC input power factor correction.

Inrush currents are limited to less than 40A while leakage current is below 3.2mA.

Ripple and noise is 480mV maximum, peak to peak (10Hz to 20MHz).

The new power supply carries all the necessary safety approvals including CSA 22.2 No.

60950-00 and EN60950, to enable it to be used throughout the world.

It is also approved to EN55022, level B, FCC Class B, for radiated and conducted EMC regulations and EN61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -8 for immunity standards.

The TL Series' operating temperature is from -40 to +65C. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
