AS-Interface is standard bus and safety bus in one
The AS-Interface is by far the simplest networking system for low level field devices, says Ken Davies, Managing Director of LC Automation.
AS-Interface gateways act as a master for the AS-Interface and a fieldbus slave with modular I/O for the higher level fieldbus.
The devices offer protection to IP20 and IP65 and are available as interfaces to the following fieldbus systems: Ethernet TCP/IP, Profibus DP, Profibus FMS, CC-Link, InterBus, DeviceNet, CANopen, Modbus, Modbus Plus, Bitbus, LON, RS232, RS485 and RS422.
It allows users to use AS-interface and AS-interface Safety at Work networks as well as their higher level fieldbus, improving overall efficiency and reducing costs accordingly.
