The AS-Interface is by far the simplest networking system for low level field devices, says Ken Davies, Managing Director of LC Automation.
Available with 6.5, 10.4 or 15in displays and a choice of either touch or function key versions (touch screen only on 15in version), all E1000-Series HMIs feature 65,536 colour TFT displays with dimmable backlights (0-100%) giving superior image quality, even in demanding viewing conditions.
With an IP65 compliant front panel and robust and modern design, the E1000-Series terminals are suitable for a wide range of industrial environments, including food processing, pharmaceutical, offshore and automotive industries.
One of the major features of the E1000-series is exceptional communication capabilities including built-in Ethernet (10/100Mbit), USB and Serial (RS485/RS422 and RS232) connectivity as standard, with a CompactFlash socket for project and data transfer.
It gives users even more options for data capture and operator interfacing, as well as enhancing established e-terminal features such as trending, and recipe/alarm handling.
Internal variables and the enhanced data logging capabilities of the E1000-Series also open up new possibilities for handing data to/from PLCs, making them suitable for many applications where data capture is important.
And their multilanguage and Unicode support using true Windows fonts make handling text messaging even easier, whatever the language.
Mike Appleton, LC Automation Technical Support Manager is very positive about the E1000 series, saying: "This is an impressive range of graphic operator terminals which I know will become very popular".
