Solenoid valve features novel space-saving seal

A Lee Products product story

A new two-position three-way miniature piloting solenoid valve features Lee's patented MultiSeal technology to set new standards in reducing space, weight and power consumption.

Reducing space, weight and power consumption are often the requests placed on OEM engineers when they consider the design brief for new systems and products in aerospace, high technology automotive, oil tool production and other similar applications.

The need to "push back the boundaries", is an ongoing progress and consequently the need to develop innovative and ever smaller components to meet these demands is an integral part of the process.

This is a challenge to which miniature component specialist Lee Products rises, as demonstrated by the introduction of its new 250 Series solenoid valve.

This two-position three-way miniature piloting solenoid valve features Lee's patented MultiSeal technology to set new standards in reducing space, weight and power consumption.

The valve has an integral 100us safety screen, it weighs just 450g and has a power consumption of just 7.2W at 12V DC.

The Multiseal radically simplifies port layout by allowing total porting flexibility 360 degrees around the seal, without the need for O-rings or anti-extrusion rings - hence the significant space and weight reduction.

Available in normally open and normally closed models, the 250 Series valve can handle up to 1.17 litre/min of flow at 204bar and can operate in applications with a temperature range of between -18 and +130C.

Special valve models are also available depending on specific application requirements.
