Shafts resist abrasion in linear motion
Flight simulators, CAT scanners, exercise equipment and ATMs are only a few of the applications for Lee Controls' Solid 60 Plus precision case hardened and ground steel linear shafting.
Lock stops linear motion
The Linear Carriage Lock will allow users to put a stop in place at any shaft position in linear motion applications.
"This superior combination affords longer system life with lower friction than typical recirculating ball bearing slide tables, and requires no periodic maintenance", explains Lee Controls vice president Jim Ashworth.
The roller bearing pillow blocks are free-rolling and self-aligning to reduce friction and wear; the loads carried on individually sealed and greased roller bearings.
An all aluminium pillow block body and a black oxide finish on the exposed surfaces of the rollers resist corrosion.
Various configurations and sizes of slide table systems are available to meet the needs of industries such as printed circuit board, wood working, medical, and packaging equipment.
"Lumber Mills utilise our slide tables for cutting machines and moving materials.
In the medical field, slide table systems position CAT scan patients", adds Ashworth.
According to the company, most applications utilize the full slide table system.
It is supplied pre-assembled, pre-aligned and factory tested - ready for installation and motor mounting.
A preloaded ball screw nut and a precision rolled ball screw is included.
Fully supported or end supported shafting is obtainable on request.
Also offered is the basic slide table.
This versatile system permits the user to choose from a variety of drive options, such as a rodless cylinder, air cylinder, hydraulic cylinder or rack and pinion.
The slides are available in both supported and unsupported shafting and are completely pre-aligned, ready for immediate installation.
