Britain's largest range of stock springs on CD-Rom
A CD cataloguing Britain's largest range of stock springs and featuring an interactive spring selector to simplify specifying and ordering on- line, has been launched by Lee Spring
Chapters describe each different type of spring range and include definitions and formulas for determining spring rate and stress as well as tables listing tolerances for spring diameter and load.
Design guidance is also given in a form that can, if necessary, be faxed back to Lee Spring for a custom solution.
At the end of each section a useful chart provides guidance on how to solve certain spring design problems.
The Appendices are extensive.
A glossary of definitions covers most of the common terms used in spring design.
Four pages of spring materials data list material types by BS specification and note physical properties and performance criteria.
This section of the publication also includes useful conversion factors.
Called 'The Engineers Guide to Designing and Specifying Compression, Extension and Torsion Springs' the reference work is available free from stand No 1515 or on application to the company after the show. Request free introductory details about products from Lee Spring ...
