Twist-action coupler
A unique and advanced range of twist-action two stage safety couplers, the C9000 range, which is said to guarantee safety and comfort, is being launched by Legris
Produced specifically to comply with the latest ISO 4414 Health and Safety legislation relating to quick acting couplers, the new C9000 series will extend to more than 200 versions Numerous probe profiles and adaptors have been incorporated to ensure extensive interchangeability and compatibility

Connect up to 12 nylon tubes simultaneously!
Simultaneous connection and disconnection of up to 12 nylon tubes can now be achieved in less than 10 seconds with the introduction of a multi-connector from Legris.
Multiple tube system keeps pneumatics neater
Neater installation in pneumatic circuits, ease of identification and greater protection are just some of the benefits of a new Multitube system of compressed air nylon tubing from Legris.
Special features of the new Legris components include very high flow capabilities, extremely small pressure loss and rapid venting.
Body composition is in a lightweight impact resistant engineering polymer to protect the couplers from shock during use and to reduce the risk of scratching to any items in production.
The C9000 safety coupler deliberately breaks with tradition by using a double rotation of the sleeve to prevent accidental disconnection.
A first, anti-clockwise rotation flushes the circuit downstream on the probe side.
Only then does the component allow a clockwise rotation which will disconnect the body and probe.
The very short time taken to vent the system - as little as 344ms - guarantees system safety even if the coupler is disconnected at speed.
Manufacture in a lightweight material instead of metal - traditionally used for quick acting couplers - has made the new Legris component far simpler to use, with moulded ridges on the body allowing the coupler to be gripped easily for almost effortless connection and disconnection.
Legris's well proven push-to-fit technology has been applied to provide perfect sealing in testing that has taken the new range to more than 10 million cycles.
Launching the C9000, Legris's managing director in the UK, Malcolm Crossley, said that the new concept represents "an entirely new generation" of quick acting coupler, particularly at a time of increasing legislative demands for safety from employers.
"It is a combination of that safety with good ergonomics to satisfy the needs of the user and optimum performance." The range meets common worldwide standards through availability of probe profiles in ISO 6150B (5.5mm and 8mm), ARO (5.5mm) and Euro (7.2mm), with an additional probe adaptor to increase compatibility even further.
For ease of identification, probe profiles and part numbers are clearly marked on the coupler body.
Working temperatures for the C9000 coupler range are -20C to +60C and working pressures are from 0 to 16 bar.
