LEM has upgraded the analysis software for its Topas 1020 and 1040 load flux analysers.

LEM has upgraded the analysis software for its Topas 1020 and 1040 load flux analysers Lunched last year, the two instruments provide extensive and precise analysis of loads and disturbances in the medium and low voltage distribution network

The Topas PC-based evaluation software has been extended by a special software package for the load flux analysis and network optimisation.

Data can be transferred to the PC via Ethernet, RS232 or a modem.

Alternatively, a 512Mbyte Compact Flash (CF) card will accommodate several years' worth of data to be accumulated at 10min intervals.

The configuration and the evaluation of the measured data on the PC are possible by exchanging the CF card.

All essential power-related variables can be measured.

Mean, minimum and maximum values for each load circuit, for single phases and sums over three phases or sums over selectable outputs can be computed.

Statistics on outputs and weekdays supply all the characteristics required for network optimisation.

Voltage events (voltage increases or decreases, interruptions according to EN50160) are also profiled.

This extensive multitude of data requires the intelligent Topas evaluation software, especially optimised for this purpose.

Sums over outputs, daily statistics, Export ASCII tables have been provided for.

What's new is the report generator: The selection of evaluations is protocoled in a macro-generator.

Artwork created in MS Excel is automatically updated with Topas measurement data.

The target group for Topas 1020/1040 can be found, among others, in the following areas: technical personnel in maintenance, repair, service and specialists in the energy distribution area.

Also in industry, where network optimisation and recording of energy distribution etc are important, in engineering offices, electric supply companies and in power stations, these products are used in a profitable way.
