LEM has introduced an adapter that allows its MT204 machine tester to carry out tests on machine switch and control gear in accordance with IEC/EN60439.
Analyser tracks down power quality problems
LEM has introduced the Topas 2000 power quality analyser for problem solving in both industrial and utility electrical power networks.
This often manifests itself as unexplained problems with electrical equipment, and even early failure of that equipment.
VLog provides a fast and easy solution for recording the voltage trends, dropouts, harmonics and transients that so often cause these problems.
Results can be analysed simply and clearly - in accordance with the latest power quality standards - by using the VLog PC software.
VLog is available in two versions: the VLogR, which measures and records RMS voltage values and dips, down to one half cycle; and the VLogQ, which records additional power quality parameters including transients and harmonics up to the 32nd.
Both versions are extremely easy to use and plug directly into mains power sockets.
Once the logging parameters have been set, VLog will automatically store values, dates, and times, which can then be downloaded to a PC for further analysis with the Vlog software.
The VLog software allows definition of the initial set up criteria and also presents results in a clear graphical and/or spreadsheet summary of the observed data.
This can be coupled with a quick overview of the key power quality parameters.
An external modem can be attached to provide a facility for remote access.
The advanced design of these power quality analysers ensures accurate recording of the key parameters with no data gaps, in accordance with the European power quality standard EN50160.
VLog is an ideal troubleshooting tool to identify and quantify the power quality problems that affect the performance and efficiency of electrical plant and equipment.
