Spring maker Lesjofors of Sweden wants to buy companies in the UK and throughout Europe, including in Eastern European countries.

Spring maker Lesjofors of Sweden is on the acquisition trail and has set its sights on establishing a more physical presence in the UK and throughout Europe, including in Eastern European countries.

Lesjofors has been making springs since 1852 and is headquartered in Sweden.

Manufacturing takes place in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Latvia and China with sales companies in Norway, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.

The company focuses on three business areas - industrial springs, flat strip components and automotive chassis springs.

It can produce bespoke designs plus has a standard stock catalogue of over 10,000 items.

It wants to buy spring manufacturers dealing in the area of CNC coiling, producing small to medium volumes of cold coiled springs, valued in the range of £2 to £10 million.

Suitable companies would be general spring manufacturing with a broad customer base or niche manufacturers with a global market.

It would also be a plus if the company was dealing with standard stock springs.
