New front ends make drives better to use

A range of operator terminals and front-end displays are being launched to complement existing drive packages, ranging from standard 2-line text displays through to 16-colour touchscreens

Lenze has introduced a new range of operator terminals and front-end displays to complement its selection of high-performance drive packages The terminals provide a number of different configurations ranging from standard 2-line text displays through to 16-colour, fully-interactive touchscreens with variable formats

The new Lenze range encompasses five basic models, all of which have been especially designed to display graphical and statistical information in a clear and easy-to-read format.

The displays feature integral keypads, are IP65 rated, have RS232 and CAN fieldbus interfaces and require only a 24V dc supply.

Configurations are available with two, four, eight or 16 lines of text, with the graphic-based displays also accepting numerous data formats, such as imported bitmaps.

In conjunction with the introduction of the new terminals, Lenze has also released details of its new HMI Designer support software that simplifies configuration and programming.

The new software not only removes the complexities associated with IT control management, it also means bar graphs, bitmaps and animated graphics can be displayed easily.

In common with Lenze's new operator terminals, HMI Designer is available ex-stock.

Geoff Spear, Marketing Manager at Lenze, comments on the introduction of the new interfaces and software.

"We have developed our drive systems to provide energy efficiency, heightened control and space-saving opportunities. Request a free brochure from Lenze ...

We needed a range of operator terminals that would complement these attributes, and the best solution was to introduce our own products." Geoff continues: "I believe we have developed a high-quality range of programmable displays that meet the high manufacturing standards and customer specifications required by the modern automation environment.".
