Inverter gains more fieldbus options

Lenze has increased the possible fieldbus options for its 8200 vector inverter range by introducing two new plug-in modules for LON and AS-i.

Lenze has increased the possible fieldbus options for its 8200 vector inverter range by introducing two new plug-in modules for LON and AS-i The two new fieldbus modules have been added to Lenze's already extensive range including CAN, DeviceNet, and Profibus fieldbus options

The easy to use, plug in modules avoid external fieldbus conversions and simplify machine build.

The Lenze LON interface module for the 8200 vector inverter is available ex-stock and simply plugs into the upper position of the vector inverter.

Commonly encountered in the building industry, the LON fieldbus is typically used to control motors on fans and pumps and allows cable lengths up to 2700m between the drive and the motor.

The second new option covers the AS-i fieldbus and plugs into the lower position of the 8200 vector inverter.

The AS-i interface is a relatively straightforward system, which is designed for applications that do not require powerful fieldbus systems, but need to exploit the advantages of serial communication.

The AS-i fieldbus is easy to use and set up, and is cost effective.

Geoff Spear, Marketing Manager at Lenze, commented on the company's growing range of fieldbus modules: "We've increased the options for the 8200 vector inverters by 25%, which means machine build can be simplified and flexibility improved.

This means our customers have a much wider choice and can select the fieldbus option that best suits their requirements". Request a free brochure from Lenze ...
