Lenze has a new range of high-performance metal disc couplings - the BSD Modulflex range manufactured by Rexnord.
Lenze has a new range of high-performance metal disc couplings - the BSD Modulflex range manufactured by Rexnord.
Providing a wide range of torque with high-speed capacity and a long-life backlash-free connection, the couplings are ideally suited to pump, dynameter, turbine and test machinery applications.
The BSD Modulflex discs feature a choice steel or aluminium hubs and as an alternative to keyway connection, is also available with a clamp hub option.
The range features 15 sizes to suit shafts from 20 to 335mm and peak torques up to 300,000Nm.
The BSD Moduflex has a special place in the market as a precision shaft coupling.
Between the hubs are factory pre-assembled cassettes that hold the flexing metal discs.
The cassettes are radially removed for easy maintenance and remain backlash-free throughout their long operating life.
The precision of the design is illustrated by the outstanding high-speed capacity.
For example, the 375mm diameter model, with a nominal rating of 45,000Nm and peak of 80,000Nm, is capable of running at 10,000rev/min.
