A number of Lenze?s drives have been re-approved and updated on the Carbon Trust's Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs) listing - the smd, 8200 Motec and 8200 Vector In 2001, the Climate Change Levy was introduced as part of a package of measures by UK Government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with a commitment to the Kyoto conference in 1997
Since then, Lenze has ensured that its drives have the appropriate qualities to be deemed energy efficient and gain approval by the Carbon Trust, which controls the ECA scheme.
ECAs discount the capital cost of the drives plus any costs directly associated with the provision, installation and commissioning of the product, only when supplied as an individual stand-alone product or as part of a nonqualifying piece of equipment.
