Leroy Somer now has a complete range of electric motors from 1.1 to 400kW, which meet the requirements of the UK Government's Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) for energy efficiency These motors, now on the approved list, are eligible for the Enhanced Capital Allowance enabling the cost of their supply and installation to be offset against corporation tax

Leroy Somer has a long-standing reputation for the manufacture of energy efficient motors.

The original design of its popular ES range of induction motors is so good that Eff1 ratings can be achieved without having to change shaft heights or materials of construction.

They provide a cost effective solution for a wide range of demanding industrial applications.

These motors are just part of an extensive range of energy efficient ECA approved solutions from Leroy Somer comprising single and two speed motors, brake motors, variable speed drives, and Varmeca integrated drive/motors.

The ECA scheme defines energy levels to be achieved for motors using the CEMEP Eff1 levels as a benchmark where they apply (for ratings up to 90kW) and the Water Efficiency Standards for the remainder.

By using Leroy Somer high efficiency motors, the user will save money by making energy savings and also contribute to an improved environment by reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
