Label detection gets faster and easier

Along with faster switching speeds and a very simple teach-in button for setting operational parameters, the new GS 06 label detection sensor from Leuze Mayser also offers improved reliability.

Along with faster switching speeds for higher productivity and a very simple teach-in button for setting operational parameters, the new GS 06 label detection sensor from Leuze Mayser also features technology that prevents spurious external light sources affecting signals thereby affording greater reliability The new GS 06 optical fork sensor is engineered for the ultra-precise triggering of labelling machines, ensuring highly accurate and reliable application of labels

The increased 8000Hz switching frequency of this latest sensor enables it to cope with higher production speeds being sought for packaging lines.

And to maximise plant efficiency the GS 06 benefits from Leuze's new A2LS technology enabling its receiver to differentiate between transmitted light and some other light source, thus avoiding incorrect labelling.

For the vast majority of applications the simple push-button teach-in facility will prove ideal, however for complex applications where there is a need for greater precision the GS 06 has a multi-turn potentiometer.

Using the latest ASIC technology allows all combinations of PNP/NPN and light/dark switching options to be incorporated within the same device.

Further simplifying machine installation is a greater choice of connectivity - M8 plug, M12 plug or fixed 2m cable.

The GS 06 is the latest addition to an already comprehensive Fork Sensor series available from Leuze Mayser.

Its introduction ensures that the company is able to match virtually any label detection application including highly reflective metallic labels, clear labels on a transparent web as well as standard paper labels. Request a free brochure from Leuze Mayser ...
