Leuze Mayser has added a 14mm safety protection resolution to its Solid 4E light curtain, providing hand and finger protection.
All standard features of other Solid 4E safety light curtains have been incorporated in the Type 4 development, including two adjustable light beam codings that prevent optical cross-talking between neighbouring devices and maintenance-free operation due to the fail-safe OSSD transistor output.

In addition to the integrated standard functions, restart interlock and relay monitoring, the intelligent interface devices from the Leuze Mayer MSI series allow muting and single/double breaks as well as providing a facility for connecting safety switches.
The Solid 4E's strong torsionally stiff rigid housing giving added protection to the device whilst there is also high immunity from EMC disturbance, assuring reliable protection against intrusion into hazardous areas at all times.
These features make the Solid 4E safety light curtain suitable where safety is paramount in tough industrial working environments.
The Solid 4E safety light curtain range is now available in five standard resolutions - 14, 20, 30, 40, 90mm - making Solid 4E an extremely flexible solution for hazardous point protection or area protection across many diverse applications.
These can include finger and hand protection at presses and stamping machines for the metal, leather and plastic industries or at manual inserting areas of automated manufacturing cells.
