A Higher National module (nationally recognised SQA certified short course) on "gas turbines" is now available by distance learning from Logis-Tech Associates.
This module covers: mechanical design principles; theoretical design principles; compression; combustion; performance and control; and environmental problems.
The module is aimed at technician/engineer/supervisor level and is worth one credit towards an HNC in electrical, electronics, mechanical, multidiscipline, instrumentation or chemical process engineering.
An HNC in engineering consists of 12 credits (SQA/university accredited).
