HNC course in mechanical engineering
An HNC course in mechanical engineering by open/distance learning is ideal for those who are unable to attend college on either a full-time or part-time basis.
An HNC course in mechanical engineering by open/distance learning is ideally suitable for those who are unable to attend college on either a full-time or part-time basis.
The course is designed on a flexible open/distance learning basis.
There are no time limits placed on commencement or completion of the modules, students can progress at their own pace.
Thus fitting in with their commitments at home and at work.
The HNC in mechanical engineering consists of core modules (compulsary units), a choice of a number of modules within the principles and technology group and the remainder from the large selection of options modules that are available.
A student needs to obtain 12 credits to obtain a HNC in mechanical engineering.
This course is accredited by SQA and on obtaining a HNC students can be eligible to up to 75% credit transfer towards the first year of a BEng degree in mechanical engineering course via an English university (also available by open learning, but with formal examinations) or worth 120 points towards a degree through the Open University.
It is a nationally and in many cases an internationally recognised engineering qualification.
