Logis-Tech Associates now delivers a Higher National (nationally recognised SQA certified short course) module on "electromagnetic compatibility" by distance learning.

The module covers: the need for electromagnetic compatibility; effects of crosstalk in coupled circuits; parasitic effects in passive components; hazards of electrostatic discharge; interference by electromagnetic fields; and the importance of grounding in analogue and digital circuits.

This is a worthwhile module aimed at technician/engineer/supervisor level and can be taken on its own merit.

It is also worth one credit towards HNC in engineering (which requires 12 credits).
