Logis-Tech Associates now deliver a Higher National (nationally recognised SQA certified short course) double module, "Engineering project" by distance learning.

The aim of the project is to provide an opportunity for participants to utilise their academic studies in the solution of a investigative or practical engineering problem.

This could involve one or more the following activities: design from first principles or established principles; simulation/laboratory work; practical work, most probably carried out in a working environment; and presentation of a report.

The double module is aimed at technician/engineer/supervisor level and is worth 2 credits.

This double module can be taken on its own merit and is also a core unit of the HNC in engineering courses.

An HNC in engineering consists of 12 credits.
