Generator and detector combine to check
leaks

The EP641 ultrasonic detector set is a "digital leak seeker" and is used for the most general leak seeking applications within industrial plants, workshops, etc The EP641 ultrasonic detector makes use of a new developed digital technology, where the ultrasound (20-100kHz) produced, for example, by a compressed air leak, transforms into a digital signal which the user sees and hears

Portable ultrasonic detectors can be a valuable asset in both leak detection and preventive maintenance of mechanical assemblies.
Leak detector makes sound financial sense
The EP 542 ultrasonic leak detector is fast becoming the top seller for Logis-Tech Associates.
The EP641 ultrasonic detector responds by a flashing light and a pulsating sound.
The faster the light flashes/the sound pulsates the closer you are to the leakage, and the speed of the light flashing/sound pulsating is also an expression of the size of the leakage (The faster the light flashing/sound pulsating - the bigger the leak).
The EP641 ultrasonic detector can also be combined with the EP512 ultrasonic sound generator that transmits pulsating ultrasound.
The sound generator/transmitter is placed inside a item, for example a steel tank, that is then closed.
The user can then examine the tank from the outside and can easily find leaks, if any, as a flashing light and a pulsating sound from the EP641 ultrasonic detector.
One specific example of use of this combination of ultrasonic detector with sound generator is by Wabtec Railways, Doncaster which after refurbishing train carriages used this combination to check the seals of all the windows on the train carriages.
The previous method was high pressure spraying of water on the windows from outside, thus causing, on some occasions, very wet interiors and causing more cleaning up.
The use of the EP641 ultrasonic detector and the EP512 sound generator is much quicker, less work and cleaner.
Other applications of use of this combination of ultrasonic detector with sound generator is in the aircraft and automobile industries. Request a free brochure from Logis-Tech Associates ...
