Newly appointed approved Learning Provider for the UK Ministry of Defence A-1 Technical Training, a sub division of Logis-Tech Associates, is now an approved learning provider for the Ministry.
A-1 Technical Training, a sub division of Logis-Tech Associates, is now an approved learning provider for the UK Ministry of Defence.
Those in the armed forces who wish to study HNC in engineering courses by distance learning can now obtain financial support from the ELC scheme (Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme).
The scheme provides financial support to eligible service personnel who wish to enhance their educational or vocational achievements at Level three or above.
ELCs are available in two tiers - the lower tier has a level of up to £1,000 per annum and the upper tier a level of up to £2,000 per annum.
Those amounts may be claimed as a single payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years.
Each eligible claimant may make a total of three claims and those may include claims in both the lower and upper tier but not exceed three claims in total.
The scheme is based upon the principle that individuals would make a personal contribution toward the cost of their learning (usually 20 per cent).
The ELC contribution may be up to 80 per cent of the gross course value.
