A-1 Technical Training, Logis-Tech Associates reports a significant increase in the student pass rate on its HNC in engineering courses.

A-1 Technical Training, Logis-Tech Associates reports a significant increase in the student pass rate on its HNC in engineering courses The pass rates on the HNC in electrical, HNC in electronics, HNC in mechanical, HNC in multidiscipline engineering, HNC in instrumentation and HNC in chemical process engineering have all increased significantly from the period April 2004 to late March 2005, compared with the previous year

Managing Director, Hugo Gallagher believes this is due to: "the flexibility of the courses; students study in their own time and at their own pace, thus fitting in with home and work commitments".

The aid of the new A-1 Technical Training Students Group Noticeboard Forum also helps to assist the students learning experience.

All the HNC in engineering courses by open/distance learning are ideally suited to those who are unable to attend college on either a full-time or part-time basis.

The courses can be started from anywhere in the world and are ideally suited to those who work irregular hours and those who work in remote locations, such as: shift workers, oil rig workers, seamen, armed forces, laboratory workers etc.

The HNC in engineering courses are all accredited by SQA, and are nationally and indeed internationally recognised qualifications.

Also, on obtaining a HNC in engineering qualification the student can be eligible to credit transfer towards the first year of a HND/BEng in engineering course via an English university (also available by open/distance learning, but with a few formal examinations) or worth 120 points towards a degree through the Open University.
