Eval kits check out motion controllers
Agile Systems offers evaluation kits to help customers determine performance and functional requirements for their motion control applications.
Agile Systems, the Canadian based designer and manufacturer of digital motion control and distributed servo drives, uses patented digitalPower technology to create small form factor, standard and customised products for both OEMs and individual applications Agile, which is represented in the UK by LG Motion, has a wide range of products including FireWire, Interbus and CAN networked drives as well as encoderless feedback drives enabling servo performance from conventional stepper motors

Monorail BM can provide load support for direct-drive linear motor or servo-driven ballscrews, where accuracy, stability and precise velocity control are application requirements.
Servo drive eases distributed automation
Measuring under 78 x 78 x 32 mm, the microMaxR intelligent servo drive can be mounted very close to the motor on any automated machine with short motor power and feedback cabling.
Although standard products may suit many applications, Agile is extremely willing and able to work closely with customers on product development projects to provide customised solutions that range from a minor modification to an existing platform to a totally new product including the creation of custom firmware and software.
Emphasis is always directed towards adding value, with cost effective and innovative solutions that decrease time to market, with a form factor that fits the customers' application.
As part of this initiative, Agile offers evaluation kits to help customers determine performance and functional requirements for their applications.

XSlide bearing is inherently self cleaning
The new XSlide linear positioning stageis aimed at medium-precision applications in production, test and research applications where price and performance are important selection criteria.
All current products are covered with evaluation kit options including the microMAX series, a FireWire networked and DSP based single-axis motion controller with integrated 900W peak servo amplifier.
Built for direct mounting on robotics and automation equipment, microMax combines daisychained FireWire networking and power cabling supplemented with localised motor and feedback connection.
The microMAX is quickly set up and installed using DPWin, Agilie's PC-based graphical environment for configuration, tuning and analysis.
Motion programming is completed with MAXCLib, an ANSI C/C++ library and application development program with motion and machine control commands.
An evaluation kit is also available for Agile's new Silentstep - an advanced stepper motor drive and motion control system with patent-pending sensorless commutation, providing a significant increase in motor speed and useable torque with no position loss and up to 75% less audible noise.
As well as for use on new applications, Silentstep may be retrofitted to existing stepper motors to yield servomotor performance for legacy systems with improved throughput, much lower noise and significant cost benefit.
LG Motion provide in-house design, manufacture, service and application support for its wide range of motion control and positioning systems.
