Planit Solutions has moved up to become the world's 7th largest provider of CAM software technology in 2004, according to the latest NC software and related services market assessment by CIMdata.

Planit Solutions, a division of Planit Holdings comprising Licom, Radan, HRS, Planit International and Cabinet Vision Europe, has moved up to become the world's seventh largest provider of CAM software technology in 2004, according to the latest NC software and related services market assessment by CIMdata.

The success reflects consistent growth across the group's CAM software products, which target the needs of the woodworking, metal, stone and sheet metal manufacturing sectors with branded products including: AlphaCAM, Radan and Cabinet Vision.

"We are delighted to have our achievements recognised by CIMdata", says Trevor Semadini, CEO Planit Holdings.

"CIMdata is one of the world's most well-respected and best known independent consultancies in the PLM field".

"Its annual reviews are regarded as highly accurate barometers of industry trends".

According to the report's author, Alan Christman, Planit is likely to build on its success with continuing growth during the next 12 months.

"CIMdata expects Planit to increase market share to become the sixth largest CAM software vendor in 2005".

"This would be a 12.3% growth over their 2004 revenues and would position them as the seventh most rapidly-growing vendor in 2005", he maintains.
