Lifting Solutions has outgrown its existing premises at Platts Common and has been forced to move to larger premises in Thurnscoe.

Lifting Solutions has outgrown its existing premises at Platts Common and has been forced to move to larger premises in Thurnscoe.

With immediate effect, Lifting Solutions is now based at Albion Drive, Thurnscoe, with a new telephone number 01709 899010 (old telephone numbers will continue to work for some time).

The full move over to the new premises will be complete by 19 June.

The new site offers 14,000sq ft of offices and industrial space to accommodate Lifting Solutions' increasing numbers of staff and customer orders.

One of Lifting Solutions' first major contracts across in the new premises is a 25 tonne roll-shop crane for Corus, an order representing £120k worth of business.

Five new jobs have already been created by Lifting Solutions during its move to Thurnscoe, with further expansion and new jobs expected in the future.

Jonathan Moorhouse, managing director of Lifting Solutions, said: "Our continued growth and development has been partly fuelled by the partnership we announced with French manufacturer Verlinde towards the end of last year." Lifting Solutions is now one of only a dozen or so UK distributors of the full Verlinde range.

One of the most important outcomes of the deal is Lifting Solutions' ability to now offer a full crane service - from design to manufacture and installation, right through to training, maintenance and repairs.

Jonathan Moorhouse added: "Lifting Solutions has now doubled in size in the last five years and intends to keep pushing on to stay one step ahead of the competition".

"We're sorry to be leaving Platts Common which has served us well for many years, however there just wasn't the capacity we required and a move was essential if we were going to be able to accept all the orders that were coming in.".
