Software extends Microsoft Word to provide mathematical intelligence with 2D and 3D visualising capabilities found in stand-alone mathematical computer algebra system.

Mupad Addin 2.0 for Word, from Sciface Software, is an extension for Microsoft Office Word that provides mathematical intelligence with 2D and 3D visualising capabilities found in the stand-alone mathematical computer algebra system Mupad Pro Specifically for engineers who base most of their reporting around the use of Microsoft Word but who need to include mathematical content within their reports or documents, Mupad Addin 2.0 supports typesetting of mathematical formulas, high-quality 2D and 3D graphics and the power of a mathematical expert system

Available from Lightwave Scientific, it allows the creation of standard worksheets in which the authors can hide the underlying algorithms and may provide an input region for parameters only.

The output display can then be in a numeric or graphical format.

Both normal text and the Mupad functionality can be mixed seamlessly in the same document.

The Mupad Addin is designed around a base core which provides a mathematical formula editor plus the use of additional plug-ins.

In the current version there are two plug-ins - Canplot and Evaluate.

Future versions will extend the range of plug-ins.
