Positioning systems offer fine
adjustment
The Mipos range of objective/lens positioning systems has been developed for the fine adjustment of microscope objectives within high-resolution applications.
The Mipos range of objective/lens positioning systems supplied by Linos Photonics and manufactured by Piezo Systems Jena, has been developed for the fine adjustment of microscope objectives within high-resolution applications The Mipos series 20, 100, 250, 330 and 500 covers motion ranges of 20 to 500um with resolution in practice only limited by the voltage noise of the power supply

Positioner provides nanometre resolution
The nanoMIPOS400 CAP nanopositioner satisfies the high-precision demands of biology, medicine and laser technology applications.
A key feature of this is the special integrated preload design resulting in very low angular deviation, highly parallel long range motion, with a very short settling time and high resonant frequency.
This type of mechanical design also allows for an upside-down version for inverse microscopes.
To avoid drift and hysteresis the Mipos is also available with an integrated strain gauge or capacitive measurement feedback system.
This combination of design and control electronics makes for a highly stable, linear and repeatable system when used in closed loop mode and in conjunction with the PSJ controller.
Mounting the system could not be easier, a flex-adapter thread ring is simply screwed into the microscope, and the Mipos then attached with a clamping screw.
As required by a diverse market place the Mipos can be supplied with the correct fittings for all major makes of microscopes and if required can be supplied in a vacuum compatible form.
