Conveyors move products between floors
Each system in the Mezzanine Floor Conveyor range is designed to suit the height between floors and constructed at an angle to suit the product being conveyed.
LAC Conveyors' Mezzanine Floor Conveyor range has been designed for production and warehouse environments that require products to be transferred between different floors.
Presently the majority of all 'inter-floor' storage handling and production is undertaken with lifts and lifting equipment.
LAC's new range provides a cost-effective alternative.
It is designed to be robust enough to work in heavy-duty production or storage environments and safely convey products of all shapes and sizes.
"We designed this new standard range of conveyors after listening to some of the concerns of our manufacturing and warehouse clients who required more flexibility in their facilities", says Chris Unwin, Managing Director of LAC Conveyors.
"Many sheds and production environments are purpose built with the required lifting equipment having been specified and installed at the start of their working life".
"However the majority of manufacturers in the UK do not work from purpose-built facilities and so need more bespoke systems like this, which they can not only integrate with their existing production programme, but 'fit' into any working environment".
Each system in the Mezzanine Floor Conveyor range is designed to suit the height between floors and constructed at an angle to suit the product being conveyed, with each module used to configure the conveyors, being based on standard components.
To ensure absolute safety during conveying, the new system is based on LAC Conveyor's Tracker belt conveyor range, with each belt incorporating specially moulded guides on the underside, which run within grooves in the conveyor's base to ensure belts run true.
The design reduces belt wear and increases the life and performance of the conveyor.
All conveyors incorporate high-grip belting, side guides and underside covers as standard and the units can be configured as simple inclines or can incorporate horizontal sections in either high level loading or unloading.
Users also have the option to specify gravity or powered roller conveyors at either end for accumulation of products and can select 'swan neck' shapes for their conveyors, in addition to a choice of belt widths, control options and belt types, which can enable conveyors to operate at greater inclines.
