Linear slides survive caustic washdown
FreeSlide linear slides were designed around a pharmaceutical application which required FDA/USDA compliance, easy adjustment and simple installation.
LM OSG linear bearings are constructed of a square lightweight aluminium extruded rail which features two precision ground RC60 shafts (chrome plated and 440C stainless shafts are available on request).
The saddle block, which rides on the square rail, is also an aluminium extrusion and supports four gothic arch grooved rollers allowing for a four point contact with the shaft.
The grooved rollers feature a patented eccentric nut that provides for easy adjustment of running clearance.
The blocks are similar in size format to traditional ball roller low profile rail guides.
The saddle block also has a through slot which allows for a drive belt attachment and seals for contminated environments.
OSG linear bearings are high-speed low-friction low-noise alternatives to costly, underused low-profile rail guides.
The new SG series linear bearings are constructed of a U-channel aluminium extrusion which features hardened, precision ground RC60 shafts.
Riding in the U-channel is an aluminium block which has a bank of three, four or five precision rollers - depending on load requirements.
This strong, lightweight system is ideal for applications which require high speed, smooth and silent operation.
The double-row deep grooved rollers offer a patented eccentric nut that provides for easy adjustment of running clearance.
