Arctic Cat has chosed LMS as a strategic partner in its new world-class NVH facility in Thief River Falls (Minnesota) LMS will provide multiple data acquisition and analysis systems for lab and in-field measurement based on the LMS Test.Lab noise and vibration software and LMS Scadas III front-ends

Arctic Cat selected LMS because of its market-leading position in ground-vehicle NVH solutions, and its experience with similar testing facilities.

The combination of LMS virtual prototyping software and testing systems will allow them to assess the noise and vibration behaviour of their products from the early design stage up until the prototype validation.

Arctic Cat designs, engineers, manufactures and markets snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

The Arctic Cat brand name has existed for more than 30 years and is among the most widely recognised and respected names in the snowmobile industry.

Arctic Cat recognises the importance of noise and vibration performance in their ever-growing snowmobile and ATV product offerings.

The creation of its high-tech NVH facility will help Arctic Cat continue its long history of high-performance products while reducing unwanted noise and vibration.

Chris Twomey, Arctic Cat President and Chief Executive Officer commented: "Our customers demand high-performance products to maximise their entire riding experience.

We feel that NVH will play a large role, not only due to environmental regulations, but also in how our customers define 'high performance' in the future.

With their experience and breadth of solutions in test and simulation we feel that LMS is the right partner for Arctic Cat to make this facility a success".

"The decision by Arctic Cat to implement the LMS Test.Lab solution is another confirmation that our offering is perfectly aligned with the challenges of developing products with a high level of NVH performance", stated LMS Chairman and CEO Urbain Vandeurzen.

"We are excited about supporting Arctic Cat with the successful deployment of their new NVH facility.

We look forward to working closely together and leveraging our competence in NVH testing and simulation". Request free introductory details about products from LMS International ...
