Off-the-shelf solution for vibration
analysis

With Rev 5.1 of Pimento, LMS reckons it has developed an innovative sound and vibration analyser solution that breaks new ground in modal and acoustic testing.

With Rev 5.1 of Pimento, LMS introduces an innovative sound and vibration analyser solution that breaks new ground in modal and acoustic testing Pimento features a new four- and eight-channel step-in hardware configuration, combined with a comprehensive range of applications, revolutionary LMS Polymax modal parameter estimations and a set of preconfigured ISO and ANSI testing procedures

Also brand-new are Pimento's intuitive three-click procedure operation and 5min procedure definition features, which save significant testing, analysis and reporting time, meaning more time can be spent on value-added engineering activities.

In addition, the tight integration with Microsoft Office makes it possible to quickly compile and share reports.

Altogether, Pimento represents a complete solution, ideally suited for users who simply want to pull an analyser off the shelf, switch it on, and start measuring.

To better respond to evolving customer needs, the offering of Pimento Rev 5.1 analysers has been extended to satisfy the need for low-channel-count systems.

Pimento's new four- and eight-channel V/ICP hardware configurations currently represent few of the most attractive and most compact step-in packages available on the market, including a four-channel microphone configuration.

Complementary to its fully interactive engineering and troubleshooting capabilities, Pimento Rev 5.1 releases a highly intuitive user interface, which enables operators to complete a test and analysis assignment in just 3 clicks - Measure, Analyse and Report - providing increased operator efficiency and enhanced data integrity.

Pimento is an open system that, in case no standard procedure fulfils all required testing specifications, makes it possible to define a new procedure in less than 5min, without the need for any programming.

By default, Pimento Rev 5.1 analysers include a library of preconfigured procedures, of which some are industry-standard ISO or ANSI tests.

In addition, LMS regularly extends this library with newly predefined procedures, which can be downloaded from the Pimento website free of charge, without requiring a product licence or having to wait for a new Pimento software update.

By introducing the unique LMS Polymax curve fitter, Pimento Rev 5.1 underlines its leading edge in modal analysis.

This integrated modal parameter estimator greatly simplifies the selection of poles, typically the most difficult step in modal analysis, by offering crystal-clear stabilisation diagrams.

To further improve its application coverage, capability and performance, Pimento introduces new innovations and enhancements in all application domains of its elaborate range of applications, which includes sound power, sound intensity, sound-source localisation, sound absorption, whole-body vibrations and hand-arm vibrations.

Pimento Rev 5.1 tightly integrates with Microsoft Office to obtain higher efficiency in relation to user guidance, reporting and data exchange.

All textual and graphics information that guide operators during each step of a testing procedure can be defined using one single Microsoft Word template.

The tight integration with Microsoft Excel offers the capability to efficiently set up and customise Pimento reports, on top of the possibility to use Visual Basic report scripting.

Excel can also be used to view reports after concluding measurements, allowing employees to perform standard Excel data operations and easily share reports with other concerned colleagues. Request a free brochure from LMS International ...
