LMS Imagine.Lab supports Modelica

A LMS International product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 3, 2008

LMS has announced its LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim Rev 8A supports the open-source Modelica programming language standard.

Modelica is an object-oriented multi-domain modelling language for component-oriented modelling of complex systems, for example systems containing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, thermal, control or electric power subcomponents.

Over the past three years, LMS has incrementally incorporated Modelica support LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim, a complete 1D simulation suite to model and analyse multi-domain intelligent systems and predict their performance.

The components of the model are described by mathematical equations representing the system behaviour.

To create a system simulation model in LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim, users can take advantage of packaged solutions, including specific tools and application libraries of pre-defined components for different physical domains.

With LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim Rev 8A, LMS customers will be able to take advantage of tools and application libraries from AMESim software developers and the Modelica community.
