The LoggerHead Tools Bionic Wrench received an Editor's Choice Award from Popular Mechanics magazine at the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.

The LoggerHead Tools Bionic Wrench received an Editor's Choice Award from Popular Mechanics magazine at the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.

The awards honour new products that exemplify innovation, invention, design and engineering.

The Bionic Wrench was one of 16 products chosen from thousands of exhibitors at the show, and one of two hand tools selected.

The Bionic Wrench is a new type of hand tool that combines the best features of an adjustable pliers and wrench.

It delivers a mechanical advantage unlike any other adjustable wrench because it equally distributes force around the workload.

The Bionic Wrench automatically sizes and grips 16 US and metric-sized nuts and bolts, eliminating the need to search for the exact size wrench for a project.

It will not slip or round off nuts and bolts like other gripping tools and often can remove fasteners damaged by other pliers or wrenches.

"As an independent inventor, I am truly honoured", said Dan Brown, founder of LoggerHead Tools.

"Popular Mechanics has been a part of my life for many years".

"I have read through the Editor's Choice awards with great interest and amazement at the ingenuity involved".

"To be a recipient of this award is the proudest moment in my professional life".

Brown added that seeing the public response to the Bionic Wrench at the National Hardware Show has been gratifying.

"I enjoy the expression of amazement each time a person tries the Bionic Wrench for the first time".

"It has the 'wow' factor: people often say 'why didn't I think of that?'".

The Bionic Wrench is made in the USA and guaranteed forever.

It is available now for $28.95 from the LoggerHead Tools website.

The Bionic Wrench will be introduced in retail outlets this summer, and 6 and 10in sizes will be offered within the next 12 months.
