Silicone foam covers a mass of applications

A MTI Leewood product story

Magnifoam low-density silicone foam is ideal for cushioning, fire blocking, insulation and gasketing in mass transit, aerospace, automotive, industrial and institutional markets.

Using patented technology Leewood Elastomer manufactures low-density silicone foam for cushioning, fire blocking, insulation and gasketing in mass transit, aerospace, automotive, industrial and institutional markets.

Low flammability, inherently low toxicity and low smoke emission levels make Magnifoam silicone foam and excellent choice for these applications.

Unlike organic foams, Magnifoam is thermally stable, waterproof and resists the degrading effects of ultraviolet light, and attack from oxygen and ozone.

Magnifoam is supplied in two distinct forms.

MFSiltec "roll stock", is used primarily for extreme temperature gasketing, seals and as a component in energy management systems.

MF1 "bun stock" is used primarily for cushioning, padding, insulation and it is also incorporated into MF Saf-T-Matt institutional bedding products.

The Magnifoam proprietary process and patented chemical formulations make it possible to manufacture MF1 silicone foam in densities as low as 90kg/m3 and thickness of up to 100mm.

MF1 silicone foam is structurally resilient with very low compression set and 100% spring back memory, which is supported by a 10 year guarantee.

After 1,000,000 cycles in the "jounce and squirm" fatigue test, MF1 silicone foam did not show any noticeable deformation.
