Laser Optical Engineering (LOE) has moved into purpose built facilities in Loughborough Innovation Centre on the Loughborough University Campus.

These new facilities enable the company to have a dedicated applications lab with three optical tables for vibrational analysis, shearography and speckle interferometry, allowing a multi-technique approach to testing problems, which ensures that solutions are quickly and effectively found.

The production of diffractive optical elements (DOEs) for high power laser applications will now be brought in-house with a dedicated wet lab.

Other facilities include a workshop and access to shared meeting rooms.

Future plans include installing a dedicated high power laser processing system to develop the company's diffractive technology further.

Business Manager Simon Hargrave comments: "This move promotes LOE to a serious industrial force within optical metrology and high power optical component supply".
